W . BRO ALAN MARTIN
– 50 YEARS IN FREEMASONRY
W. Bro. Alan Martin attained 50 years in Freemasonry in December 2016. To mark this auspicious occasion W. Bro. Richard L Barker (Assistant Provincial Grand Master) presented W. Bro. Alan Martin with a 50 year certificate at the Mercia Lodge Meeting on 20thDecember 2016. The Lodge had obtained a dispensation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Warwickshire to do this presentation in the presence of ladies and non-mason gentlemen guests while still wearing full Masonic Regalia. It was a very happy and memorable evening for W. Bro. Alan Martin and his lady Mrs Jenny Martin. The evening was enjoyed by all present.
MERCIA LODGE CHRISTMAS MEETING
Mercia Lodge will have a Christmas Evening with dinner and carol singing on 20th December 2016. We shall also be presenting a 50 year certificate to W. Bro. Alan Martin at this meeting. Masons and non-masons will witness this presentation.
W . BRO MICHAEL SPRAKES
– 50 YEARS IN FREEMASONRY
W. Bro. Michael attained 50 years in Freemasonry in 2016 at the grand age of 92. To mark this auspicious occasion W. Bro. Trevor Sturt (Assistant Provincial Grand Master) presented W. Bro. Michael with a 50 year certificate at his home. The reigning Master of Mercia Lodge W. Bro. Bill Dugan accompanied by W. Bro.’s Alan Martin, Rex Lowin and Ashwin Kagdadia attended this presentation. It was a very happy day for Michael.
MYSTERY WHO DONE IT
We have in the past enjoyed a Murder Mystery play performed between the courses of a leisurely lunch at Alderson House in Warwick. The guests had a wonderful time.
SUMMER LUNCH
In the summer we had a lovely Summer Lunch at Henley Golf and Country Club on Sunday 17.08.2014.
VISIT TO BLETCHLEY PARK
Another past event: As a group we visited Bletchley Park and saw many items of interest in the museum there along with the famed Enigma Machine used in the Second World War.

MERCIA LODGE CHRISTMAS FESTIVE DINNER
Mercia Lodge celebrated Christmas with an evening with ladies present. The dinner was followed by light entertainment and Christmas carols. All those present enjoyed the evening very much.
NEW MASTER OF THE LODGE
W. Bro. Harjinder Gandham is the new Master of Mercia Lodge. The Installation Meering was held on 19th April 2016. Bro. Harjinder was, for the first time, Installed into the Chair of King Solomon in his mother lodge.
VISIT TO MIDLAND AIR MUSEUM
Mercia Lodge members and their family and friends had a wonderful visit to the Midland Air Museum on Sunday 6.9.2015 followed by a pub lunch.
DECEMBER MEETING
In December the Lodge Meeting is followed by a festive Christmas Dinner. At this dinner ladies and gentlemen who may not be Freemasons are invited.
CANAL BARGE TRIP
We have in the past enjoyed a canal boat trip along the Avon at Stratford with lunch on board.
